Van Rensselaer Village is a 100 unit complex for both seniors and families. This complex is located on 16th. St. ½ mile west of McDonalds in Watervliet. It has a laundry facility on site, very spacious bedrooms, cathedral ceilings, large closets and many have hardwood floors and balcony's. These units are gas heated and designed for the family with a moderate income.

The rents are set by the bedroom size unlike the WHA units, which are determined by income. The WHA manages these units for a private firm and the project is overseen by the NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal. The rents are as follows (without heat or electricity):
